This is also a good opportunity to reflect on our past and make changes to improve our future. My personal goal this year is to become more organized. Perfect timing! As I unpack everything it's really giving me the chance to be sure to make things practical and organized as well as pleasing to the eye. So if any of you have any advice for me as I organize and unpack please let me know!

Changes
As always, this new year has brought many changes. The biggest change so far has been where we live. We've moved back down to San Jose to be closer to my work and family. We would like to give a huge THANK YOU to everyone who helped us move yesterday. What we thought would be an all day thing only took a few hours and we even got a lot unpacked! We are looking forward to getting set up in our new apartment and life here.

Glad the move went so well.
Advice on packing (or I guess unpacking). Well don't just throw stuff into closets. That's what we did, and I hate it. All our closets are filled with junk. I just need to have the discipline to go through them. Because I bet most of it is stuff I can get rid of. blah.
Glad your move went well. Maybe you won't have to move again in a year!!
My advice is...if you haven't used it in the last 6 months, then you probably don't need it. I wish I had done that 14 years ago when we moved into our house. I still have some boxes that I have not unpacked. They are just up in the rafters of the garage. I also have some wedding presents that I never took out of the box and that has been 27 years ago. Don't feel bad about getting rid of it cause you can give it to goodwill.
